The cabin itself was nice and we enjoyed our time there, but unfortunately the communication and overall attention to the guest experience could have been better. We arrived after driving through terrible weather to find no power or running water. We weren't comfortable staying our first night in an unfamiliar cabin in the woods without either, so we got a hotel. Management initially offered $80 toward our $260 hotel stay and said they needed to speak with the owner about further compensation. After that, communication became very inconsistent. I also sent photos of a few concerns around the property simply to document them and received no acknowledgment. Thankfully, Airbnb was the saving grace. They communicated with me, handled the situation professionally, and made sure we received the appropriate compensation. The house is beautiful and open floor plan but definitely needs some upkeep maintenance. The lights on the bridge were out, didn’t feel it was safe for my kids to walk across the bridge bc it was broken in spots. Overgrown in back yard. Back hot tub area was covered in sticks and limbs. Hot tub needed upkeep. Picnic tables out front were broken, cleaning crew just threw mop out the door. Definitely needs some outdoor upkeep. Beds were comfortable and overall house was fairly clean. I was just disappointed in outdoor upkeep. I think the cleaning crew could definitely do a better job. Host was super friendly and communicated well. If these issues were resolved, I would definitely give it another shot. My kids did love the arcade inside though.

Wonderful place to spend the weekend after picking up several family members after they spent 4 days hiking the A.T. it was easy to get to, close to downtown. Quiet and peaceful, just what we needed!

*You are basically paying for the view* We chose this location based on the photos. When we pulled up to the cabin upon arriving we first thought we had the wrong location. Overgrown weeds blocking one of the doors, the grill looked like it had been pulled out of the garbage dump, the porches have not been swept in forever, the outside cushions were nasty and you didn’t want to sit on them and the water from the faucets was BROWN. The hot tub had brown sediment in it and it has not been cleaned in quite some time. We come to this area several times a year and we really enjoy this specific area of the Smokies so we have stayed in many cabins and this is by far the worst. We made the best of it because we didn’t want the hassle of moving to another cabin. The cabin itself was clean on the inside but it is very dated and if you plan to cook or use cups, plates etc. be prepared to bring your own because supplies are very sparse.
